My 16 coloured Tiles =)
Saturday, August 16, 2008 ![]() This were my 16 coloured tiles when I place them together =) It was really fun drawing on a tile as the surface was so smooth but it was totally not fun when it comes to colouring! >.< The surface was really too smooth, as I'm using acrylic paint, each stroke have to be very careful. I have even destory my tiles before when I was colouring them hence I have to wash the paint away and colour all over again. But seeing the world product being finish, the happiness from the heart was really COOL~ !! hahas xD LABYRINTH xDD
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have finally completed my labyrinth! =) This labyrinth which I have completed, the next day when I was in studio, Kelly gave me some advice and I had added some more things to it but I didn't managed to take the picture of my really completed labyrinth. Alot of hard work was used in this project. Since 8 august which is on a friday, I stayed back till 10pm in school just for this project. Because I was using acrylic as my main material, I have to go to the workshop to cut my acrylic even bending of acrylic too. When I first started, my mind was totally blank! From 4 to 7 august all I do was only the cube. There's was nothing in the interior. I consulted Kieng yong and started only on 8 august. I felt stress and sometime really stuck! I really can't continue. Thanks for the support of my friends and lecturers too, Kelly and Steve. It was really a tough week! hahas But when everything was completed I felt relieve. Finally its all over! Labyrinth was a nice name for this project. I personally like the name LABYRINTH alot. From the name, to me it's like holding some kinds of secrets in it and we have to discover it by the journey. And the journey was the process making our interior space in the cube. This is an interesting and fun project xD I have learnt alot from this project and also enjoyed it alot ^^ LABYRINTH model in process
Thursday, August 7, 2008 ![]() ![]() This is when I started constructing my cube using timber strips which were provided from our lecturers to start us making our Labyrinth.... Let the journey beings... hahas xD Zo cards mock up models
Sunday, August 3, 2008 ![]() ![]() This was my first mock up model being made using Zo cards. At first I thought using zo cards to do means can just anyhow cut, fold and paste it on it to create an interior space hence my first mock up wasn't nice and was not followed from my tessellation. ![]() ![]() After consulting one of the lecturer, I then made a new model. I followed my tessellation and cut out the shapes of it and stairs was then added to it also. It then makes my interior space more interesting xD Mock up models
![]() ![]() These were my 3 mock up models which were being made based on one of my tessellation drawing. The cube was made from satay sticks, masking tape was used to connect it up. The models was made from paper, which there are different layers over lapping one another. You can see different things from different views as you turned the cube around =) Tessellation drawings
Saturday, August 2, 2008 ![]() PATTERN ![]() COLOUR ![]() TONE These were my 3 tessellation drawings. Pattern, colour and tone. The one which I like most is the toning one. I think it brings out some kind of character which I don't know how to explain and hence attracts me alot. My pattern is the worst to me, I think it's too crowded hence making the drawing like the ontography. 16 templates
![]() This is the 16 templates that I have gotten from my close up ontography drawings. It's all place in order pasted nicely onto an A1 paper =) |
